Jose, originally from Cordoba, Mexico, has been coaching since 2012. Prior to working at CTA Jose worked as a Tennis Pro/Coach at the John McEnroe Tennis academy in New York. For over 7 years he was the preferred hitting partner of John McEnroe and other ATP American players like Noah Rubin and WTA Jamie Loeb. He has coached and developed high performance players including national ranked juniors from all ages. Jose also directed and organized adult clinics for all USTA levels from 2.0 to 5.0+. His focus as a coach is his fiscal aspect and says that hard work always pays off.

As a player, Jose was top five nationally ranked junior in his home country and played in many ITF tournaments and ATP Futures before college.  After a successful junior career, José played Division I tennis for Utah State University and Robert Morris University. Jose won the Team MVP Award for Robert Morris University in 2011 and 2012. He was also team captain for Robert Morris University Junior and Senior years
